All In One SEO or Yoast SEO Which Is The Best Plugin

This post reviews the All In One SEO and Yoast SEO Plugin to find out which is the plugin.

Both have been established for a good length of time, so lets dive right in

All In One SEO or Yoast SEO which is the best

It should be pointed out at this stage, that if you are new to blogging and no nothing about SEO, then don’t worry.

When it comes to blogging, then, you will know, that keywords and using the right keywords helps your blog get found

So Lets start by looking at All In One SEO first.

There are two versions of All In One SEO, which are the Free version and The Pro Version

This review focuses on the All In One Free Version

It is the Original WordPress SEO Plugin, and has been downloaded over 50,000,000 times, since 2007.

However, currently at time of writing, there are 2 million plus active installations of the Plugin

Each day there are around 8, 000 installations of the Plugin

Ideal for beginners, it will work out of the box and has advanced features and an API for developers

It will work on WordPress 4.7 or higher, but has been tested up to WordPress 5.2.2

It is available in 52 Languages.

Features …

The free version has some amazing features, which wil really benefit your blog

For example

You can submit your sitemap to Google and Bing, at the touch of a button to improve your SEO

You get Google Analytics Support

Support for SEO on Custom Type Posts

Advanced canonical URLs

Redirect attachment pages to parent post

Automatically notifies search engines like Google and Bing about changes to your site

Built-in API so other plugins/themes can access and extend functionality

ONLY free plugin to provide SEO Integration for e-Commerce sites, including WooCommerce Nonce Security built into All in One SEO Pack

Automatically optimizes your titles for Google and other search engines, this is a great time saver

Generates META tags automatically, this helps you SEO no end

Avoids, typical duplicate content found in some WordPress posts

A major feature of this Plugin, which is not found on Yoast is …

The ability to track your conversions in Google Analytics

By conversions I mean those links in your content, which invite you to take action

Tracking is an essential tool for every business owner

Brilliant for beginners, works straight out of the box, just needs installing and thats it, pretty much

AllInOne also has a brilliant newsletter, which if subscribed to, will deliver some cool content to your inbox

The content is not as regular as some WordPress newsletters, but you do received some pretty cool content.

Now with AllInOne Covered, lets take a look at

Yoast SEO

Yoast SEO, is again a super cool plugin, which delivers very well, yet is different to AllInOne.

There are two versions of Yoast, which are the free and the paid version

This post, in keeping with the AllInOne Review, looks at the Free Version of Yoast

The first thing you notice with Yoast, is its software, which when installed conflicts with any other SEO plugins ( namely AllInOne SEO) you might have

So it asks you to delete AllInOne SEO so you can see how well Yoast will work for you.

At first, if you have been using AllInOne SEO for a while, you will feel a bit miffed about

However, once you install Yoast and through its first few actions on your WordPress site, you will like your choice.

What you will find irritating as soon as you come to write your first post, is its Traffic Light System

That said, when you get used to it, you find it beneficial

The Traffic Light System helps you to write better Copy

As you write your article, you are directed where to and how to correct the erros

Better copy means that you arite better articles and ultimtely, attract better clients.

That at the end of the day is the name of the game

SEO Training

A great feature of Yoast is their SEO Training

Its is exceptionally good and teaches you how to become an SEO Guru

In total, they have 10 Courses

Admittedly they are costly, but you will become an SEO specilaist when they are applied.

So when that happens you will earn good money from SEO Copywriting

SEO Plugins …

As well as SEO Training, Yoast has some excellent SEO Plugins

There are 5 in total and cover from the free SEO plugin through to Woo Commerce

Heck they even have one to help rank your videos better

All the Plugins are an affordable price

So in conclusion which is best

Both do a good Job and both will show you results

AllInOne SEO is ideal for those starting out blogging to give you a learning curve

Yoast SEO, is the one you should advance to as you become more competent with writing

Overall Yoast has more features which will benefit you.

Ultimately, it will be the one you end up using

  1. Hi Dave!

I am using Yoast! It is a handy, informative and very practical plugin. I might try AIO plugin on another site. let’s see how it works for me.
SEO plugins are very useful once, a great tool to write better copies and content.

Yoast offers as well as very informative SEO courses. But, SEO courses are everywhere online. Google gibe us also great advice on SEO. Knowing more about SEO will only help to create better websites and content.

So, I can only recommend using those plugins. Which one is a better one? Yoast or AIO? I need to test AIO and afterward, I can say more about it.

    Thanks for sharing the info.

    1. Thanks for commenting. In terms of which is better, then the bottom line of the post, I believe answers that.

As a copywriter myself, I fiind that Yoast is much better for helping your produce quality content, which attracts the right type of client

  2. I currently use the all – in-one seo, this is the first time I have heard about the Yoast seo. I noticed you say that eventually you should use the Yoast seo, how long do you think I should work on my website before I switch over? Is it actually necessary or will I be fine to continue using the all-in-one seo? Thank you for the help!

    1. Thanks for commenting and the switch over to Yoast should be a progressive one as your writing improves and more articles get posted, you will naturally look for more benefits in terms of SEO

All In One is great for starters

  3. Hey Dave, thanks for the excellent review, I have tried both Yoast and All in One SEO, my impression is that Yoast goes too much for the paid version, it gives you almost no benefit in the free version, while all in one SEO gives you a bit of better features, would you agree?

One thing that attracted me to try Yoast, was the tool to suggest tags and keywords, a bit similar to what Semrush does, have you tried Semrush? It has also a supporting writing plugin, but also it only works for paying members and it is a bit pricey!

Cheers, and read you again soon!

    1. Thanks for your comments Luiz, I would initially agree with you about Yoast going too much for the paid version, however, what they do do is focus on providing quality courses via a membership type of plugin, so though the features might be better in All In One for beginners, overall the benefits of Yoast outweigh this

  4. Hey Dave; While I am using the All-in-one SEO plugin, it is difficult for me to say it is better than the Yoast SEO plugin, as also, I cannot give Creedence to the Yoast SEO Plugin that I never used. Benefits are in both plugins.

Is it not true that one will have to know their application as also their function to get the benefit?

    1. Thanks for commenting and All In One is great for those just starting out, while Yoast is better as you evolve with writing.
